The Visualization group at Uber is offering internships this summer and fall in San Francisco. We are looking for masters or PhD students who are excited about pushing the state of the art in data visualization, mobile interactions and HCI.

At Uber, interns will collaborate with researchers and industry veterans and will have access to world-class product groups and design teams. They will have the opportunity to impact product used by millions of users daily.

Going forward, the team is investing in advancing the scope of visualization tools beyond web and desktops to further contribute to Uber’s business and growth.

The team has worked with students early in their PhD studies to great success in the past. Dates for the internship are flexible, but summer is preferred.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Actively pursuing a Masters or PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction or a related technical discipline with a graduation date no earlier than December 2018.
  • Experience with data visualization tools and platforms
  • Experience with mobile development (iOS/Android)
  • Available for a minimum of 3 months, preferably starting during the summer
